This week FLAME conducted a Webinar on our current, 2^nd Open Call, which you can watch below.

The Webinar was held on 12 December and outlines information about the project’s 2^nd Open Call for SMEs and Replicators trials.  The FLAME project is first introduced and explained by Project Coordinator Michael Boniface from IT Innovation. He outlines the trials and experiments FLAME is seeking in this call, as well as the advantages of getting involved with the project:

“What FLAME offers is… an early beta test of 5G technology to services. This is great for marketing… [because] when working with FLAME, you’re working with a platform which is at the cutting edge of the 5G initiative. There are not many offerings like FLAME, if any, that are at the advanced stage that we are today,” says Boniface.

The platform is further explained by FLAME’s Technical Manager, Dirk Trossen from Interdigital, who talks about the components, the foundation media services and infrastructure.

Pouria Sayyad Khodashenas and August Betzler from i2CAT, one of the current replicators in the FLAME consortium, give a practical walkthrough on working with the platform including replication requirements.

Finally, FLAME’s Open Call Leader, Dr Lamprini Kolovou from Martel Innovate, explains the process of applying for the open call and timelines. She outlines the budget, as well as requirements and eligibility, as set out under the H2020 framework.
